AISI 1005
Ultra-low carbon steel. Excellent formability, very soft.
AISI 1008
Low carbon. Good ductility & weldability.
AISI 1010
Very good cold forming.
AISI 1018
Most widely used low-carbon forging steel. Good strength + machinability.
AISI 1020
Low carbon steel with high toughness. Good weldability and machinability.
ST37
Equivalent to S235JR. Structural low-carbon steel.
AISI 1026
Higher strength than 1020. Good hardenability and machinability.
ASTM A105
Standard forging grade for carbon steel flanges. High strength + pressure resistance.
ASTM A350 LF2
Low-temperature carbon steel. Toughness at -50°C.
